Y@C is our annual Camp for young people in years 7-12. Y@C is held at Noosa QCCC campsite and is five days packed full of all the best bits of Christ Central Youth. It’s probably our favourite time of the year.

Y@C features outdoor activities like colour wars, Nerf wars, swimming and sports, plus great food, tribal wars and so much more. It’s an unreal opportunity to hang out with all ya mates, make new mates, ask big questions, share life and above all hear what God has to say to us from the Bible. We’ll have a guest speaker coming to help us unpack the Bible together across the camp in exciting ways too!

This is a Drug & Alcohol Free Camp

At the commencement of camp, the youth team will go through the rules that must be followed throughout Y@C, for everyone’s safety. All of our leaders have undergone the Queensland ‘Working with Children Screening Process’ known as the blue card system. As well as successfully completed training in Safe Ministry with Children through the Queensland Presbyterian Church’s ‘PresSafe’ program so that we can create safe and supportive environments for young people to hangout and have fun.

Parents please note that if your teenager is found to have broken one of our camp rules outlined at the commencement of camp, our Youth team may require you to come & collect your teenager from the campsite.

FAQs

What if my child requires medication / or has an allergy?

Your camper should bring their medication to camp and drop it to the registration team on arrival at the campsite. You must provide step by step instructions regarding how to administer it and how often it should be administered. Campers will be given instructions during the first ‘welcome to camp’ meeting.

If your teenager has a squad leader at camp, it would be great to also touch base with them so they are aware of their need.

What if my child has dietary requirements?

We aim to cater for all dietary requirements at Y@C, so any details should be included within your registration under the ‘dietary requirements’ section. If there is anything we need to clarify with you we will make further contact closer to camp.

Will my teenager be able to be with their friends?

YES!
There’s heaps of time to hang with their friends across the various aspects of each day.

Sleeping arrangements: These are gender and age allocated, however within that they can choose to sleep in the same section as their peers.

Squads and Tribes: There will be some moments where they will be in pre-allocated squads and tribes. Outside of these activities, teenagers can hang with their peers no matter what squad or tribe they are a part of.

What if my teenager doesn’t know anyone?

Y@C is a great place to get to know and make new friends so we’re stoked that you’re considering coming. We’d love you to make some contact with us prior to camp and let us know, so we can get one of our team to connect your teenager in with some of the other youth and help them make a connection with us.
